⚠️ Important Notice for U.S. Customers

When purchasing matcha or other food products shipped from Japan to the United States,

there are sellers whose customs declarations or shipping methods may not be appropriate.

(Cases where items are shipped as gifts even though they are paid for, or where the declared value is understated, etc.)

In such cases, customs-related risks may be borne by the buyer,

so it is extremely important to carefully review the details before making a purchase.

■ Please Review Carefully Before Purchasing

If a seller shows any of the following characteristics,

there may be an increased risk related to customs clearance and import procedures:

  • Claims that “no duties apply below a certain amount”
  • Unusually low shipping fees

■ About U.S. Customs and De Minimis Rules

As of August 29, 2025 (U.S. Eastern Time),

the United States has suspended de minimis (low-value shipment) duty-free treatment,

and shipments are generally subject to duties, taxes, and related charges regardless of value.

For this reason, statements such as

“no duties apply below a certain amount”

may not accurately reflect current U.S. customs rules and enforcement practices.
